Like a lot of American commercial, entry-level wine brands, Kind of Wild doesn’t limit its wine grape sourcing to one region or one state or even one country – its Austrian Grüner Veltliner cozies up to its California Pinot Noir in the product portfolio. And that’s probably not a bad marketing idea as many younger consumers seem to be more brand-conscious than they are source-conscious. This wine is full-bodied and more rounded than linear in structure, with good green-fruit flavors (plump lime!) though not lean and tangy – very enjoyable.
