La Valentina, Abruzzo (Italy) Montepulciano “Bellovedere” 2019 ($64, Dalla Terra)

This is one of those wines that begs not to be judged just out of the bottle, as it needs time in the glass or decanter to knit together and show its depth of flavors. Once that it is done, it is both generous and well-structured with rounded berry fruitiness that in almost creamy at mid-palate yet has a bit of tang in the finish.
