This wine (a blend of Syrah 80%, Grenache 20%) offers further proof that Laurent Miquel is one of Southern France’s most reliable wine producers. The body is refreshingly lean but there is enough lusty fruit and soft tannins to provide plenty of flavor and character. Because it is relatively restrained this will be an excellent wine to enjoy as temperatures soar this summer, especially if its chilled down ever so slightly before serving.
