The Lemelson Winery is nestled within the Yamhill-Carlton District, a sub-appellation of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. They are best known for their Pinot Noir wines, but they source Riesling from the Meyer Vineyard in the neighboring Dundee Hills AVA as well. The 2024 Lemelson Meyer Vineyard Riesling is racy and dry. The aromas are fresh and forward, with lovely floral scents and elements of grapefruit, lemon, apple and lime. The flavors are pure and invigorating with the lemon and lime fruits enhanced by subtle honey and floral tones. The intense fruit expression plus months of aging on the lees in neutral wood results in a rich texture that adds depth to the tasting experience. It’s a delicious rendition of Oregon Riesling.
