Carmenere may be the forgotten grape of Bordeaux but it’s alive and kicking in Chile, where the sunny, warm growing season produces a lush, vibrant red that exhibits plenty of heft, layered complexity and inviting red-fruit aromas. This is a beautiful example of the genre and a Platinum Award winner at the 37th San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge.
