This wine has a brighter, lithe nose that signals a departure from Ted Lemon’s Sonoma Coast bottlings. This 1.8 acre vineyard produced a wine with bright raspberry, kirsch, and red plum aromas wrapped around licorice, orange, and coffee notes. This attractive nose leads into a palate that is supple yet structured with bright acidity and drying tannins. The finish is fruit and minerals, closing on a dusty note. This is a firm but elegant wine.
