This is one of Maquis’ entry level wines, and it does a good job of communicating regional character in an inviting way. Typical aromas and flavors of earthy minerality, bell pepper, blackberry and black pepper are nicely integrated on a plush midpalate that finishes long and peppery. It will make a great grilled beef partner. Contains 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Carmenere and 1% Petit Verdot.
