Brothers Jacob and Benjamin Fetzer, scions of the famous Fetzer winemaking family of Mendocino County, specialize in Pinot Noir, and this is their flagship wine. It has a pronounced earthy, forest-floor edge that frames the wild raspberry and black cherry flavors. It’s a bit rustic in tannins and earthiness, yet is fabulous when served with mushroom-based dishes and roasted meats, and has palate-refreshing acidity.
