Not one of Merry’s best efforts but still pretty good, this Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir offers lovely high-toned fruit aromas, with a background note of wood spice. Slightly green tannins lend an astringency that likely won’t resolve in the near term. That said, there is ample fruit and a wonderful nose, but this Pinot isn’t a sipper. It needs to be served with food or a savory snack.
