This wine is made in a damp earth driven style, with scent notes of fresh turned field alongside black cherry and red plum fruit aromas and flavors. If you like your Pinot Noir with a fair amount of earthiness, this will fit the bill. Not to fear, the fruit is dense and lingering, and the earthy character adds a nice tension. This will sit nicely on the red meat side of the menu.
