Few winemakers embody the current renaissance in Portuguese wine as vividly as Nuno Mira do Ó. Scouring Portugal from north to south, Nuno seeks out forgotten, old-vine parcels of indigenous grape varieties. His 2019 “Vidente” is a spicy, silky red, blending Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Pinheira, Tinta Roriz all sourced from the granite-rich soils of the Dão region. Each sip reveals layers of wild cherry, blackberry, violet, leather, and cinnamon, while silky tannins provide a smooth, harmonious finish.
