The Silacci Vineyard bottling from Emmanuel Kemiji is more elegant and refined than either the Pisoni Vineyard or Garys’ Vineyard. The wine has a brightness and litheness not seen in the other two wines. High-toned aromatic lavender, Earl Grey tea, and red fruit tones make for a pretty nose. The wine has an undercurrent of minerality and overtones of chocolate and coffee. The palate includes ripe bright fruit and a supple texture along with a cherry skin astringency on the finish. The vineyard lies about 1.5 miles outside the borders of the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA so is labeled Monterey.
