Monterey County was once a hotbed for Riesling, and while the acreage planted to the variety is a mere fraction today that it was during years past, dedicated producers are keeping the faith for good reason. This off-dry example balances its sweetness with laser-focused acidity, translating the stone fruit, citrus, and alpine-like stony minerality into crisp flavors that linger long and don’t come off as being overtly sweet at all. Delicious – and for several vintages running.
