Always a solid value SLH bottling, the 2013 features cherry, strawberry and faint raspberry fruit complimented by dry earth and bright cardamom spice aromas and flavors, with a generous mid palate and a long finish that shows a need for a little more time to integrate the oak. Don’t worry, it’ll come together nicely in a year or so — or decant it a few hours before serving.
