Although the Marlborough region of New Zealand put Sauvignon Blanc on the map, other regions fashion distinctive and equally enjoyable versions. Take this one from North Canterbury, a region on New Zealand’s east coast in the mid-portion of the South Island. Paradoxically, it has more weight and fruitiness than many from Marlborough despite its more southerly (cooler) locale. It maintains a balancing zestiness that keeps it fresh and lively. Another bargain!
