On the pale side as Rosé goes, this is certainly not pale on aroma or flavor counts. Pure barely ripe Pinot Noir character abounds, with wildflower and strawberry aromas leading to a creamy palate of dry strawberry, dried herb and soft citrus. It is quite elegant, and it’s built in a style that you can drink now or hold a few years. I tasted this blind, and after the reveal I can tell you that it is a departure in style from previous vintages, but it is up to Jim Klein’s usual high standards. Bravo!
