Sumptuously colored deep, dark purple, this South African gem is equally opulent in its aromatic elements that bring to mind a gust of chocolate-mint balanced by black pepper, spring blossoms and a hint of earthiness vaguely reminiscent of roasted beets. The red currant fruit flavor that floods the palate is tempered by a perfect edge of acidity, and gentle tannins on the finish add to the overall intricacy of this very appealing wine.
