This wine shows a consistency of style with the previous vintage, but still allows the year to tell its own story. It’s a little lighter on the extraction, making it a bit edgier with acidity in its youth, but it’s starting to show its cherry fruit from under the earthy character that takes the lead at present. I’ve had these wines at up to ten years of aging, and I have yet to be disappointed.
