The Rebholz Estate 2022 Mandelberg Grosses Gewächs Weisser Burgunder is outstanding in every way. Weisser Burgunder is most commonly known as the Pinot Blanc grape although it goes by Pinot Bianco in Italy as well as Rulandské Bilé, Klevner and others depending on the location. The 2022 bottling is a wonderful expression of Pfalz style. The bouquet is expressive and complex with lemon, pear, peach and pineapple fruit scents interwoven with elements of fresh herbs, flowers, almond and subtle spices. On the palate, it shows pure flavors of ripe pear, peach and pineapple underlain by a silky texture and hints of honey, almond and subtle herbs. The finish is minerally-fresh, dry and long. This is exceptional!
