Winemaker David Rossi created this label to show a different side of Pinot Noir than his Fulcrum wines. Whereas the Fulcrum line tends toward more structure and age-worthiness, this bottle shows a fresher, more approachable style. Another nice Anderson Valley ’13, it focuses on Bright cherry and cola flavors, with light notes of earthy minerality and brown spice. A sweet oak spice note and a touch of stemmy character round out the nicely integrated package. I’d try the pork tenderloin and chimichurri angle as a pairing.
