Macro appellation offerings are often blends of fruit from a wide range of sources, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the fruit is from the second tier. This bottle is clearly top-flight, with evident Oregon markers like taut cherry fruit, a little citric touch and subtle barrel influence. It’s tough to find Pinot Noir in this price category that really sings, but there’s a lovely melody here.
