Ornellaia, Toscana Bianco IGT (Tuscany, Italy) “Poggio alle Gazie dell’Ornellaia” 2022 ($82, Vintus)

This is an absolutely stunning white with an unusual blend of grapes: 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 37% Vermentino, 6% Viognier, 2% Verdicchio, and 2% Sémillon. It has gorgeous floral aromas with fresh and complex tangy flavors, dominated by fresh apple, with a hint of citrus and some light notes of baking spices. It pushes the top with its extravagant fruit complexity without going over it.
