Though Paul Hobbs is probably best known for his single vineyard wines, he is clearly no slouch at blending vineyards to make something special. This bottling is rich and deeply extracted, showing black cherry, raspberry, mace, cola and damp earth notes. It’s very lively for all its density, with seductive oak toast notes adding depth. It is already well integrated and promises a long life ahead.
