Pedroncelli has been producing Rosé wines based on Zinfandel for more than 70 years. Their production predates the 1980’s “invention” of off-dry, white Zinfandel in relation to an oversupply of the variety at that time. The 2023 harkens back to a 1990s style, with luscious watermelon hard candy and raspberry tea aromas. A rich and fleshy mouthfeel lead the way to a broadly textured and off-dry palate, which should work well with rich, spicy fare from nachos to dry-rubbed ribs.
