This is sourced from the Faloni Vineyard a couple miles west of the winery, and it wears its proprietary name well, showing a ripeness level that may scare some away if they just look at the numbers. As is the case with the best Zinfandels, balance is the key whatever that ripeness level might be, and balance is well displayed here. Full extraction brings deep berry character, and a Priorat yeast strain was selected to keep that power intact while not losing prized pepper characteristics that make Zinfandel so food-friendly when well executed. There is no evident heat, and the clove and white pepper accents will keep you coming back for more. Nicely realized wine!
