Pine Ridge Vineyards, California Chenin Blanc + Viognier White Blend 2023 ($16)

With each vintage, I try to evaluate this wine afresh, but I always find that – at least for me – the two varieties never really mesh, with the Viognier singing floral and fragrant and not quite complementing Chenin Blanc’s greener fruitiness. On the plus side, it is well-balanced structurally, and it is affordable.
