This engaging wine is made with 30% new oak, but nevertheless, the fresh apple and lemony flavors are still evident, along with the expected creamy smoothness and light toastiness of flavors. Overall, this Chardonnay is very linear without being lean, and there are some savory notes in the finish for added gravity – overall a good balancing act. Post & Beam is part of the Far Niente family of wineries and vineyards.
