This is a dry red from Port country. From vineyards in the Douro Superior, it shows the luscious ripeness derived from that hot climate. Layers of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit interplay with floral, anise, and baking spice hints. Though big and bold, it retains a wonderful, fresh-fruit purity and displays a lovely balance of fruit, floral and spice characteristics. Those who love the richness of New World wines will appreciate the combination of ripeness and refreshment displayed in the Crasto Superior.
