Owner/winemaker Amy Butler is making some really great wine, and this bottling is a standout in her current lineup of stars. It’s a 50/50 blend of Syrah and Carignan that delivers true Rhone character, with blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, dry earth, subtle dried herbs and a touch of leather on the nose, all of which translate directly to flavors on the palate. It’s got structured acidity, firm grip and a long finish, and it will gain in complexity over the next 5 to 6 years. Platinum award winner at San Diego International Wine Competition.
