Rancho San Martin is a new producer to me, and one I’ll be checking out more closely since it’s in my own backyard. This has all the hallmarks of Rioja – rich red fruit, soft herb notes, pulsing acidity and a long finish that will keep you coming back for more. A beef and/or sausage-based paella is just the ticket here.
