A tasty, toasty iteration of bubbly Chardonnay – interestingly labeled as being “Cava Style,” as the winery is focused on Spanish varieties. This hits solid Blanc de Blanc markers like apple, pear, brioche and toasted bread crust, with a fine mousse, bright acidity and a lasting finish where the toasty notes linger. The real surprise here is provenance – the area was once planted mainly to Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, but not much Chardonnay remains in Temecula Valley Nicely done!
