The appeal of Reata’s Three County Pinot is its unmistakable earthiness and somewhat rustic soul. There are more elegant Pinots to be had, but this one’s not about finesse. This Pinot is about flavor and structure and enough bite on the finish to send the signal it would be better to wait another six to 18 months before opening.
