Scattered Peaks, Napa Valley (California) Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

 Here is a nicely priced Napa Valley Cabernet made by Joel Aiken – a man with quite a resumé in the Golden State.  His experience shows here, with a classically styled expression of blackberry, cassis, faint dried herbs, massive structure and a powerful finish.  It’s very tasty now, and should evolve nicely over the next ten years.  You don’t hear that much at this price level.
