This is a nice big Zinfandel that doesn’t lean into overripe flavors, showing blackberry pie, vanilla, root beer and fall spice aromas. On the palate, it is dry, with black cherry, brambly blackberry, pepper, and a touch of charred oak. The wine is nicely integrated, long and peppery on the finish. A little bottle aging will open things up a bit, but it’s quite approachable now.
