Yet beneath that acclaim lies the intrigue of White Pinot Noir — a rare and expressive interpretation of the same noble grape. Only a handful of Willamette Valley producers craft this elusive style, each with their own signature approach. Richer than many white wines, the 2023 Sequitur White Pinot Noir “Blue” is an age-worthy expression that winemaker Mikey Etzel likens to an Alsatian Pinot Gris. On the palate, it is luxuriously satiny, revealing layers of honeyed pear, baked apple, toasted almond, and a whisper of ginger.
