Sleight of Hand Cellars was founded in 2007 by Trey Busch and Jerry and Sandy Solomon, and their base of operation is Walla Walla. As the winery name suggests, they enjoy the art of blending. This 2021 brings together 42% Cabernet Franc, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 10% Syrah. Aging takes place in neutral French oak barrels and large upright tanks, and the result is a plush, fruit forward red. Dark garnet, it offers an aroma of upfront raspberries and cherries with red pepper and a hint of graphite for added interest. The plush texture continues into the soft and smooth finish. Ready for full enjoyment and an excellent value. Their wine club is named “The Wine Illusionist Society,” so they are doing their part to make wine fun again.
