Sokol Blosser’s Dundee Hills effort from the 2012 vintage will appeal to those who favor earthy Pinots. This one shows notes of forest floor and mushroom, with deep black and red fruit notes typical of raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. With good acid and tannin to balance the sweetness of the fruit, this is an exceptional food wine that will play well with game dishes or most anything sauced with wild mushrooms.
