The “best” time to enjoy a wine is an elusive topic that depends so much on both the producer and the consumer and their individual goals and preferences that it becomes an almost impossible topic. That said, this collaborative effort between importer and their Tuscan source is a second-day wine at present, one that is better enjoyed the second time around – just as most soups are. Either on opening or after it has had time to breathe, it is a very enjoyable red with great varietal flavors of ripe blackberries, with the tannins smoothed out and a generosity that is very satisfying.
