Since we are now at the height of the season for serving pleasant, inexpensive, summery wines you might want to add Toad Hollow’s Chardonnay to your next shopping list.  Medium-bodied, this wine has plenty of flavor suggesting citrus and honeydew melon.  Fortunately, it is distinctly fruity but the overall sensation here is by no means heavy or too sweet.  Toad Hollow will have special appeal also to folks who’ve jumped onto the unoaked Chardonnay trend.
