The ancient variety of Falanghina is grown almost nowhere other than in Campania (the broader region in which Naples is located), and though some less skilled vintners make renditions that bring down the average and hold the category down, this is a winner. With a nutty and mineral character that nicely offsets its fruit profile including both orchard and citrus fruits, this is a fine introduction to the variety. Light bodied but with some textural grip, this would work well with shellfish or simple preparations of white-fleshed finfish.
