An exceptionally attractive Zin that even attracted this Zin-skeptic of a reviewer, this shows fruit that is appropriately open and juicy and engaging, yet neither grapey nor obvious in character. The fruit notes recall both red and black raspberries, with very soft tannins that nevertheless manage to provide focus and framing for the fruit. Unusually stylish and eminently drinkable (indeed, dangerously so), this is a well made wine and a great choice for lightly spicy meat dishes. Platinum award winner at the San Diego International Wine Competition.
