Plavac Mali is the most planted red grape variety in Croatia. It can be highly concentrated with high alcohol, fierce tannins, and roaring acidity. However, the Vina Skaramuča Plavac Mali is more restrained, softer, and brighter in approach. On the nose is a pretty note of violet perfume, while the palate brings fresh cherries, plums with an undertone of Dalmatian earthiness. This is a great choice for existing Croatian wine fans or worth seeking out for those unfamiliar with the style.
