While not exactly a naïf, Evan Anderson is a charming San Franciscan who founded a virtual winery – Voon, a childhood name – with good connections but no real marketing plan. With that back story, Anderson has made (or had made) some very nice wines including this Chardonnay – a little floral, a little apparent O2 to give the fruit some flavors of maturation. The flavors are ripe apples with some spiciness, the body is medium, and the overall effect quite pleasing.
