I recently reviewed a sparkling Malbec from this producer, and this still version makes me think that Yorkville Cellars is on to something with Malbec. A fairly complex, black fruit driven wine with soft tannins and mild oak spice, it shows what’s possible in the cooler climate with the grape. It’s got enough going on to pair well with more serious beef dishes in rich sauces.
