Castello di Verduno, Barolo (Piedmont, Italy) 2008

Jul 25, 2012

By Michael Franz

Fresh, fruity aromas rise from the glass, showing dark cherry notes edged with a tasteful touch of spicy oak.  Firm but not astringent thanks to very fine-grained tannins, this is an exceptionally well-made wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared to improve for up to a decade.
