Forrest, Marlborough (New Zealand) Pinot Noir 2009

Aug 1, 2012

By Michael Franz

A delicious Pinot at a more-than-fair price, this offers very generous flavors recalling dark cherries and pie filling, accented with subtle spices and the faintest whiff of wood.  There’s a delicate impression of ripe fruitiness running through the flavors and finish, yet the wine never seems confected or overtly sweet.  Appropriately delicate and feminine in character, this is nevertheless not a Pinot that will disappoint anyone for lack of flavor.
