Kettmeir, Alto Adige-Südtirol (Italy) Muller Thurgau 2016

 This lovely Italian white wine charms immediately with its aromatic intensity.  Generous in the mouth, it offers notes of summery peaches and hints of baking spice. It is full on the palate and has a generous finish.  Müller-Thurgau can often seem somewhat pale and bland, but the best ones, such as this offering from Kettmeir, can be absolutely delicious.  Serve it as an aperitif or with light foods (broiled sole or trout for example).
