A pretty, though fairly one-dimensional California Pinot Noir, with bright cherry fruit that dominates the sensory impression both aromatically and on the palate. The fruit is very enjoyable, and the wine does not suffer from any of the common Golden State Pinot pitfalls, namely excessive heat, alcohol, and sappy sweetness. It does, though, lack the sort of complexity required for a higher score.
