Here’s another bargain priced Bordeaux that shows how the lower appellations benefited from the ripeness of the 2009 vintage. Black fruit flavor predominate in this weightier wine. Subtle tarry elements and even a mildly chewy texture add to its appeal. As expected from the vintage, the tannins are ripe, not astringent.
