Time-tested and consumer-loved, the Silver Oak Alexander Valley shows plenty of American oak and red currant flavors. The wood and fruit dance well together, presenting a pretty cohesive wine. Well textured and not overtly tannic, this wine finishes with layers of flavor elements. Drinks young now, but pretty well, and should age over the next half-a-dozen years.
